Meet Megan

A personal trainer & dietetics student with a passion to inspire and educate people to take that first step to become their best self

I had many hobbies growing up. I used to bake, paint, dance

and play sports. I always remember how I tried to start a

business at the start of every summer. I would sell bracelets,

baked goods, and even started a blog. I had always wanted

to use the skills that I learned to try and help others, but I

never knew what to pick. I loved dancing, so at one point I

wanted to become a ballet teacher to help others discover

the joy of dance. But then I got injured, which helped me to

realize that my passion wasn't entirely in dance but in

movement; that's when I got certified as a personal trainer.

I fell in love with getting to know new people and helping

them reach their unique fitness goals, so I decided to major

in kinesiology when I went to college. When I moved away

to go to college, I got another personal training job at a corporate gym. It was great at first, I was able to meet so many new people and help them reach their goals. Unfortunately, the gym that I worked at was more about making sales than helping people. It was at this time that I was at my worst mentally and spiritually. I was constantly worried about meeting sales goals and felt like a fraud as I tried to push people to buy training for the sake of keeping my job. I had completely ignored God at this time, thinking that I could do things all by myself, which was not my brightest idea. After reaching a really low point I decided to leave that gym, which was one of the best things I could have done for myself. I began to rediscover myself, including my passion for nutrition. Most importantly, I decided to rely on God again. I switched my college major to nutrition and dietetics and am allowing God to continue to lead me down His path. Do I know where His path leads? No. Am I confident that everything will work out? Yes. I can now navigate the ups and downs of life knowing that I'll be ok, and actually I'm super excited to see what the future holds!
